Current Deep Learning (DL)-based methods for vertebra localization in biplanar X-ray images mainly focus on two-dimensional (2D) information and neglect the projective geometry, limiting the accuracy of 3D navigation in X-ray-guided spine surgery. A 3D vertebra localization method from calibrated biplanar X-ray images is highly desired to address the problem. In this study, a projective-geometry-aware network for localizing 3D vertebrae in calibrated biplanar X-ray images, referred to as ProVLNet, is proposed.

However, the quantum sheets usually possess semiconducting behavior associated with 2H phase, it remains challenging to produce 1T-phase quantum sheets due to the easy sliding of the basal plane susceptible to the small lateral sizes. Here, an efficient high-entropy strategy is developed to produce 1T-phase quantum sheets of transition-metal disulfides based on controllable introduction of multiple metal atoms with large size differences to retard the sliding of basal plane.

Magnetocardiography (MCG) has emerged as a promising approach for non-invasive, non-contact, and high-sensitivity assessment of cardiac dysfunction. This study presents a multi-center, AI-enabled diagnosis and localization of myocardial ischemia and coronary artery stenosis from MCG data.

Background: Limited research has been conducted to investigate the impact of secondary mitral regurgitation (MR) in heart failure (HF) patients with different levels of estimated pulmonary artery systolic pressure (ePASP).
Methods: A total of 468 patients suffering from HF and secondary MR were enrolled and categorized into non-severe and severe MR groups based on the degree of MR. The primary endpoint of the study was a composite of cardiovascular death and a first-heart-failure hospitalization.
Depression is common among patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Although multiple studies have confirmed that depression is an independent risk factor for poor outcomes in ACS, general awareness of this issue is still limited. Ongoing research has described detailed aspects of depression in ACS, with various mechanistic hypotheses put forward to explain the complexity of this comorbidity.

CHRONOS-4 was a phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to investigate the efficacy and safety of copanlisib in combination with standard immunochemotherapy in patients with relapsed iNHL. Patients (n = 524) were randomized (1:1) to copanlisib (60 mg IV) plus immunochemotherapy (rituximab and bendamustine [R-B] or placebo plus R-B).

This study preclinically characterized TQ-B3525 (dual PI3Kα/δ inhibitor) and assessed the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D), safety, efficacy, and pharmacokinetics in relapsed or refractory (R/R) lymphoma or advanced solid tumors (STs).
Methods: Oral TQ-B3525 was given at eight dose levels on a 28-day cycle.

WTe has attracted much attention because of its layered structure and special electronic energy band structure. However, due to the difficulty of evaporating the W element itself and the inactivity of the Te element, the obtained large-area WTe thin films are usually accompanied by many defects. In this paper, WTe nanocrystalline films were successfully prepared on quartz substrates using magnetron sputtering and chemical vapor deposition techniques.

To solve the problem of recovery and application of difficult-to-treat kish graphite with a small particle size obtained from metallurgical dust, kish graphite in blast furnace tapping yard dust was effectively enriched and purified by a comprehensive flotation-acid leaching treatment process in this study. The influence of the flotation agents on the flotation process was explored.

Plasmalogens (Pls) are considered to play a potential role in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. In the present study, an Alzheimer's disease (AD) model of zebrafish induced by AlCl was established to investigate whether the marine-derived Pls could alleviate cognitive impairments of AD zebrafish. Behavioral tests were carried out to assess the athletic ability.

However, the potential target genes undergoing DNA methylation, as well as their involvement in the chemotherapy drug oxaliplatin-induced neuropathic pain, are still unclear. Here, Lrfn4, which showed hypermethylation in the promoter regions, was screened from the SRA methylation database (PRJNA587622) following oxaliplatin treatment.

However, the underlying molecular mechanism and signal regulatory networks that influence deafness is still largely unknown.
Methods: In this study, a congenital deafness family, whole exome sequencing revealed a new mutation in the pathogenic gene , subsequently; the mutation has been validated using Sanger sequencing method.
Background: Macrophage infiltration and polarization are integral to the progression of heart failure and cardiac fibrosis after ischemia/reperfusion (IR). Interleukin 34 (IL-34) is an inflammatory regulator related to a series of autoimmune diseases. Whether IL-34 mediates inflammatory responses and contributes to cardiac remodeling and heart failure post-IR remains unclear.
