Purpose: Hypofractionated radiation therapy is being used more frequently for many common cancer sites. Conventionally fractionated radiation therapy treatment regimens have remained the standard of care when radiation therapy is indicated for soft tissue sarcoma (STS). The aim of this study was to systematically review published data on the use of preoperative hypofractionated radiation therapy as part of a curative treatment paradigm in patients with STS.

A 56-year-old woman who had received nivolumab for stage 4 renal cell carcinoma subsequently developed altered behaviour, memory deficits and worsening of previously stable epilepsy. MR scan of the brain showed bilateral FLAIR (fluid-attenuated inversion recovery) hyperintensity of the mesial temporal lobes, and there were anti-Ma2 antibodies in both serum and cerebrospinal fluid.
