Background: Children with end-stage lung disease are commonly managed with extracorporeal life support (ECLS) as a bridge to lung transplantation. Importance: Although most ovarian masses in children and adolescents are benign, many are managed with oophorectomy, which may be unnecessary and can have lifelong negative effects on health.

Objective: To evaluate the ability of a consensus-based preoperative risk stratification algorithm to discriminate between benign and malignant ovarian pathology and decrease unnecessary oophorectomies.

Congenital tracheo-esophageal fistula/esophageal atresia (TEF/EA) with concomitant pulmonary agenesis is exceedingly rare and has a high mortality rate. While there are several reported cases of successful repair, all but one patient had right-sided pulmonary agenesis. Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the percent decrease in fetal hemoglobin (HbF) after transfusion of adult-derived donor packed red blood cell (pRBC) units in extremely low gestational age newborns (ELGANs).
