Unusual electroacoustic device failure and electroacoustic reimplantation with hearing preservation.

Objective: To document the preservation of hearing after electroacoustic (EAS) cochlear reimplantation and to report on a method of managing recurrent air accumulation under the posterior skin flap.

Study Design: Retrospective case report.

Patients: A single patient report.
