Purpose: For the first time, three currently available 360° CZT-SPECT/CT cameras were compared under clinical conditions using phantom-based measurements.

Methods: A Tc- and a Lu-customized NEMA IEC body phantom were imaged with three different cameras, StarGuide (GE Healthcare), VERITON-CT versions 200 (V200) and 400 (V400) (Spectrum Dynamics Medical) under the same clinical conditions. Energy resolution and volumetric sensitivity were evaluated from energy spectra.

In medical imaging, accurate segmentation is crucial to improving diagnosis, treatment, or both. However, navigating the multitude of available architectures for automatic segmentation can be overwhelming, making it challenging to determine the appropriate type of architecture and tune the most crucial parameters during dataset optimisation. To address this problem, we examined and refined seven distinct architectures for segmenting the liver, as well as liver tumours, with a restricted training collection of 60 3D contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance images (CE-MRI) from the ATLAS dataset.

Purpose: The aim of this study was (a) to optimise theTc-SPECT reconstruction parameters for the pre-treatment dosimetry ofY-selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) and (b) to compare the accuracy of clinical dosimetry methods with full Monte-Carlo dosimetry (fMCD) performed with Gate.

Methods: To optimise the reconstruction parameters, two hundred reconstructions with different parameters were performed on a NEMA phantom, varying the number of iterations, subsets, and post-filtering. The accuracy of the dosimetric methods was then investigated using an anthropomorphic phantom.

The aim of our study was to assess the efficacy of a computed tomography (CT)-Navigation™ electromagnetic system compared to conventional CT methods for percutaneous lung biopsies (PLB). In this single-center retrospective study, data of a CT-Navigation™ system guided PLB (NAV-group) and conventional CT PLB (CT-group) performed between January 2017 and February 2020 were reviewed. The primary endpoint was the diagnostic success.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of the contouring methods on dose metrics and their predictive value on tumor control and survival, in both situations of pre-treatment and post-treatment dosimetry, for patients with advanced HCC treated with SIRT.

Methods: Forty-eight patients who underwent SIRT between 2012 and 2020 were retrospectively included in this study. Target volumes were delineated using two methods: MRI-based contours manually drawn by a radiologist and then registered on SPECT/CT and PET/CT via deformable registration (Pre-C and Post-C), Tc-MAA-SPECT and Y-microspheres-PET 10% threshold contouring (Pre-C and Post-C).

Liver tumors are common and may be unamenable to surgery or ablative treatments. Consequently, other treatments have been devised. To assess the safety and efficacy of transarterial radioembolization (TARE) with Yttrium-90 for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), liver-dominant hepatic colorectal cancer metastases (mCRC), and cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), performed according to current recommendations, we conducted a single-center retrospective study in 70 patients treated with TARE (HCC, = 44; mCRC, = 20; CCA, = 6).

Purpose: To evaluate the feasibility, safety and usefulness of 3D CBCT with a new injection protocol for targeting the portal vein during TIPS and to determine if it allows decreasing the duration of the procedure.

Materials And Methods: 3D CBCT was obtained during creation of TIPS in 15 patients (group 2). Portogram quality score was defined using a 5 points scale.

We extend former investigation to a partially degenerate electron fluid at any temperature of multiple slow ion scattering at T=0. We implement an analytic and mean-field interpolation of the target electron dielectric function between T=0 (Lindhard) and T-->infinity (Fried-Conte). A specific attention is given to multiple scattering of proton projectiles in the keV energy range, stopped in a hot-electron plasma at solid density.

An ion projectile stopping at a velocity smaller than the target electron thermal velocity in a strong magnetic field is investigated within a different diffusion formulation, based on Green-Kubo integrands evaluated in magnetized one component plasma models, respectively framed on target ions and electrons. Analytic expressions are reported for slowing down orthogonal and parallel to an arbitrary large magnetic field, which are free from the usual uncertainties plaguing the standard perturbative derivations. Magnetic and target temperature dependences of the low velocity slowing down are thoroughly detailed for dense plasmas of fast ignition concern and ultracold plasmas envisioned for ion beam cooling, as well.
