Lignosulfonate is a colloidal polyelectrolyte widely used as a dispersant in various industrial applications and produced during chemical pulping of wood chips. Here we present a systematic small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and rheological study of fractionated lignosulfonate (mass weighted molar mass M w 18 000 g/mol) dissolved in water and 0.2 M NaCl.
