The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer SURTIME trial explored timing of sunitinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), and cytoreductive nephrectomy (CN) in patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma. Continence and erectile function represent major concerns after robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP), although the analysis of only these results may underestimate the impact of surgery on quality of life (QoL). The aim of the study is to prospectively analyze QoL after RALP according to the validated European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire prostate cancer-specific module (EORTC-QLQ-PR25) and C30 and explore risk factors for the deterioration of QoL after surgery. Purpose Of Review: We summarize the evidence on accurate target definition, precise imaging, and guiding systems that are a necessary ground to targeted focal therapy.

Recent Findings: Accurate target detection is based on the ability of imaging to locate and characterize precisely the tumor burden and differentiation inside the prostate. There is a clear correlation with the multiparametric MRI (mpMRI) images and the morphologic attributes of the tumor.

A 46 year old tennis player was addressed to our clinic after incidental finding of right testicular calcification on plain x-ray of the spine. Urologic consultation revealed a hard non-tender testicular mass which required inguinal orchiectomy. Final histology revealed large cell calcifying Sertoli cell tumor: we herein present the case and review current physiopathology of such rare testicular disease.

Ga-PSMA PET/CT was performed in a 68-year-old man to evaluate recurrent prostate cancer due to elevated serum prostate-specific antigen level. Images showed a focal uptake in the prostatic gland, suggesting local relapse, and an intense uptake in the 12th thoracic vertebra, with no morphological abnormalities in CT slices. In order to confirm extraprostatic disease and before radiotherapy planning, a full-spine MRI was performed, resulting with the morphological pattern of a vertebral hemangioma.

Objective: To assess the impact of a novel molecular imaging technique, Ga-(HBED-CC)-prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT), in the clinical management of patients with prostate cancer with rising prostate-specific antigen (PSA) after treatment with curative intent.

Patients And Methods: In all, 131 consecutive patients were referred to our centre for a Ga-PSMA PET/CT in the setting of recurring prostate cancer. Of these patients, 11/131(8%) presented with persistent PSA after radical prostatectomy, while 120/131 (92%) were referred for biochemical recurrence after surgery, radiotherapy or both.
