Background And Objectives: Osteoporosis and obesity are two of the most important inter-related diseases worldwide. This study aimed to investigate impact of fat mass and its distribution on bone health in relation to energy intake among sample of Egyptian women.
Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional study included 116 Egyptian women with age range 25-65 years old.
Background Ghrelin and obestatin are two gastric hormones encoded by the same preproghrelin gene that convey information concerning nutritional status to the central nervous system. Ghrelin has been considered as an appetite stimulating peptide that has a role in the regulation of energy homeostasis. Obestatin has been described for its appetite suppressing effects opposing ghrelin's effect on food intake.
