Introduction: Posterior instrumented stabilization is a commonly done surgery in spinal tuberculosis. This study aims to evaluate the clinical, radiological, and neurological outcomes of posterior instrumented stabilization and transpedicular decompression in thoracic and lumbar spinal tuberculosis.

Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted for one and a half years with at least six months of follow-up in a tertiary care center.

Aggressive thoracic hemangiomas are rare, benign tumors that extend into the spinal canal and cause neurological symptoms. Delayed diagnosis and treatment, due to a paucity of literature on optimal treatment strategies, can increase morbidity. This case report describes a 19-year-old male patient with aggressive thoracic hemangioma who presented with upper back pain and progressive weakness of the lower extremities.

Iliac Crest Bone Graft Harvesting: Modified Technique for Reduction of Complications.

Unlabelled: Bone graft harvesting is one of the common procedures in orthopaedics surgery, and iliac crest is the gold standard donor site for autologous bone graft. There are a number of complications related with harvesting iliac crest bone graft, "donor site pain" is the commonest one. We modified the conventional surgical technique for autogenous iliac crest bone graft on patients who underwent anterior cervical decompression/corpectomy and fusion surgeries.

Anterior dislocation of the elbow joint is a rare entity and is usually associated with injuries to surrounding bony and soft tissues. Simple dislocation of the joint is managed conservatively. An eight years old girl had traumatic anterior dislocation of the elbow joint with intact distal neurovascular status.

Effects on colour discrimination during long term exposure to high altitudes on Mt Everest.

Aim: To investigate changes in colour discrimination as a result of chronic hypoxic exposure induced by extreme altitudes (above 8000 m) during an expedition to Mt Everest.

Methods: Colour discrimination thresholds for tritan, protan and deutan axes were measured extensively in two male participants (four eyes) during an expedition to Mt Everest, using a quantitative, computer controlled psychophysical colour vision test (modified version of the Cambridge Colour Test). The tests were carried out over a period of 54 days at altitudes of 1300 m, 3450 m, 4410 m, 5060 m, 5300 m, 6450 m, 7200 m and 8000 m.
