MicroRNAs (miRNAs/ miRs) are short, noncoding RNAs, usually consisting of 18 to 24 nucleotides, that control gene expression after the process of transcription and have crucial roles in several clinical processes. This article seeks to provide an in-depth review and evaluation of the many activities of miR-128, accentuating its potential as a versatile biomarker and target for therapy; The circulating miR-128 has garnered interest because of its substantial influence on gene regulation and its simplicity in extraction. Several miRNAs, such as miR-128, have been extracted from circulating blood cells, cerebrospinal fluid, and plasma/serum.
