Objective: Lesions affecting the sciatic nerve (SN) can mimic lumbar radiculopathy. In patients presenting with sciatica, approximately 10% have a nondiscogenic etiology. Through neurological examination and imaging, it may be possible to confirm nondiscogenic sciatica (NDS).
