The scope of this article is to analyze the trend of the standardized mortality rate (SMR) for tuberculosis and its correlation with the developmental status in Brazil. An ecological time series study was conducted to analyze data of deaths from tuberculosis reported between 2005 and 2019 in all states. Data were extracted from the Mortality Information System, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, and the Global Burden of Disease study.

Studies at the molecular level aim to integrate genetic and neurobiological data to provide an increasingly detailed understanding of phenotypes related to the synchronization ability and brain oscillations in time perception. Genetic variation as a modifying factor at cellular and neurochemical levels permeates several neurofunctional aspects in time-lapse duration concentrating from milliseconds to hours. Thus, the review presents the BDNF Val66Met polymorphism association in a dynamic frame of brain neurotrophic factor expression in the adaptation, integrity, and neuronal synchronism processes in the ability to estimate multisensory stimuli at different time intervals.

This study aimed to compare the heart autonomic control (HAC) response during two time-limited physical workouts using linear and nonlinear methods. A total of 20 healthy volunteers performed two physical workouts lasting 5 (P5) and 10 min (P10). In both workouts, volunteers performed as many repetitions as possible within the time limit of sets of 10 repetitions of four different exercises in the order of pull-ups, push-ups, barbell power clean, and barbell shoulder to overhead press.

The physiotherapist's clinical practice includes proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), which is a treatment concept that accelerates the response of neuromuscular mechanisms through spiral and diagonal movements. The adaptations that occur in the nervous system following PNF are still poorly described in the literature. Thus, this study had a goal to investigate the electrophysiological changes in the fronto-parietal circuit during PNF and movement in sagittal and diagonal patterns.
