All contemporary psychotherapies agree that (failing) emotion regulation is central to psychological disorders and that psychotherapy is about improving emotion regulation. The glenoid track geometry and the contact forces acting on the glenohumeral joint at static positions of 30°, 60°, 90° and 120° of abduction with 90° of external rotation were evaluated using a finite element model of the shoulder that, differently from most usual approximations, accounts the humeral head translations and the deformable-to-deformable non-spherical joint contact. The model was based on data acquired from clinical exams of a single subject, including the proximal humerus, scapula, their respective cartilages concerning the glenohumeral joint, and the rotator cuff and deltoid muscles. The forces acting on the glenohumeral joint were estimated using a simulation framework consisting of an optimization procedure allied with finite element analysis that seeks the minimum muscle forces that stabilize the joint.

Objective: The need to disseminate knowledge about the prophylactic treatment of migraine is known, so the Brazilian Headache Society (SBCe, in the Portuguese acronym) appointed a committee of authors with the objective of establishing a consensus with recommendations on the prophylactic treatment of episodic migraine based on articles from the world literature as well as from personal experience.

The aim of this article is to give an introduction to the theoretical model of Jungian psychotherapy (JP) and the role of spirituality in it, with a special focus on the concept of synchronicity (meaningful coincidences), by which the application of a spiritual viewpoint in JP will be exemplified. The paper gives an overview of the empirical studies of the effectiveness of JP and then focuses on the results of an empirical study on the occurrence of synchronistic events in psychotherapy and how they are integrated in the therapeutic process. JP can be called the prototype of a spiritually integrated psychotherapy, since Jung was the first in the development of psychotherapy who put a strong emphasis on a spiritual perspective and who succeeded to integrate spirituality into his psychotherapy approach with a coherent theoretical model in the background.

Purpose: To investigate the metal screw-in anchor failure mode and load to failure for 2 different eyelet alignments after anchor insertion in ovine humeri.

Methods: Sixteen ovine humeri were dissected, and a 5-mm metal anchor with 2 nonabsorbable polyblend polyethylene sutures was inserted into them in the proximal position of the greater tuberosity. The alignment of the anchors after insertion was adjusted to make 2 test groups, each with 8 specimens: In group 1, the anchor eyelets were malpositioned, whereas in group 2, the anchor eyelets were aligned according to the manufacturer's instructions.
