Scarce feature points are a critical limitation affecting the accuracy and stability of incremental structure from motion (SfM) in small-scale scenes. In this paper, we propose an incremental SfM method for small-scale scenes, combined with an auxiliary calibration plate. This approach increases the number of feature points in sparse regions, and we randomly generate feature points within those areas.

The proposed method leverages frame difference and convolution to effectively integrate spatiotemporal information. First, a frame difference module (FDM) is designed, combining frame difference and convolution.

Previous studies have shown that the endogenous electric field (EF) is an overriding cure in guiding cell migration toward the wound center to promote wound healing, but the mechanism underlying is unclear. In this study, we investigated the molecular mechanism of electric field-guided cell migration in human keratinocyte HaCaT cells. Our results showed that HaCaT cells migrate toward the anode under EFs.

The aim of this study was to evaluate 3D segmentation and printing to predict tumor size and vascular involvement of BR-PDAC to improve pre-operative planning of vascular resection and better select patients for neoadjuvant therapy.
Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 16 patients with BR-PDAC near vascular structures who underwent pancreatoduodenectomy (PD) with or without vascular resection between 2015 and 2021.
Topological indices are numerical invariants that provide key insights into the structural properties of molecular graphs and are crucial in predicting physio-chemical and biological activities. This paper applies established computational methodologies for analyzing benzenoid networks and their application to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) through degree-based topological indices computed via M-polynomial and NM-polynomial approaches. By examining tessellations, including linear chain, hexagonal, rhomboidal, and triangular configurations alongside their line graphs, this work highlights the influence of molecular topology on biological activity.

Background: Depression not only fosters the development of metabolic syndrome through behavioral, physiological, genetic, and treatment-related factors, but it also doubles the risk of experiencing metabolic syndrome. The objectives were to assess the sociodemographic and clinical profile of patients with depressive disorder, to assess the various metabolic parameters of metabolic syndrome in patients with depressive disorder, and to study the association between the severity of depression and metabolic syndrome.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among patients diagnosed with depression (n = 160) attending the Psychiatry outpatient department of a tertiary healthcare facility in Puducherry.
Lip prints, or cheiloscopy, are unique patterns of grooves and wrinkles, gaining prominence in forensic science as reliable tools for personal identification, akin to fingerprints and DNA profiling. Advances in imaging techniques have enhanced their forensic applicability. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis to explore global research trends, key contributors, and thematic developments in lip print research.

A case-control study was used to include fecal samples from patients with hepatic vesicular schistosomiasis admitted to Qinghai Provincial People's Hospital between October 2023 and January 2024 and individuals attending health checkups. The experimental group (AE group) consisted of 10 patients with liver vesicular schistosomiasis and the control group (NC group) consisted of 9 individuals attending health checkups.

A nationwide survey has shown limited awareness of BAD within the Italian medical community, prompting a panel of experts to develop a Position Paper that outlines the most practical and cost-saving diagnostic investigations and treatments for this frequently overlooked condition. The document provides an overview of the epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and classification of the different types of Bile Acid Diarrhea (BAD).

In essence, oral lumenography is the process of identifying oral lesions using a chemiluminescent light source and a toluidine blue labeling system. Since neoplastic epithelial cells have a changed nuclear-cytoplasmic ratio, acetic acid dehydration brings out this nuclear density and gives the tissue an "acetowhite" look.

Methods: In this multicentre longitudinal cohort study, non-acute myocardial infarction (non-AMI) inpatients with at least two cTn concentrations hospitalised between 2013 and 2022 in the Tianjin Health and Medical Data Platform were included. Multivariable Cox proportional hazards and landmark regression models were used to estimate the risk of in-hospital, 30-day and 1-year mortality in different cTn groups (normal, stable minor elevation (1-2×ULN with variation ≤20%), acute minor elevation (1-2×ULN with variation >20%) and apparent elevation (>2×ULN)).
PurposeChimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell CD19 therapy has changed the treatment paradigm for patients with relapsed/refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It is frequently associated with potentially severe toxicities: cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS), and admission to PICU is often required. Some biomarkers seem to correlate with CRS severity.

Front-of-pack nutrition labels (FOPNLs) have been developed since 1989 to curb the increasing prevalence of obesity and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and to promote healthy consumption choices. While several countries have introduced their own labeling schemes on a voluntary basis, the European Commission aims to harmonize a FOPNL system that will be mandatory for all member states. This paper summarizes a contribution to the current debate on FOPNLs from Italian and Spanish researchers working in the fields of human nutrition, nutritional epidemiology and public health education and communication policy before the final decision on FOPNLs to become mandatory in Europe is taken.
