The prevalence of breast cancer in young women (YWBC) has increased alarmingly. Significant efforts are being made to elucidate the biological mechanisms concerning the development, prognosis, and pathological response in early-onset breast cancer (BC) patients. Dysfunctional DNA repair proteins are implied in BC predisposition, progression, and therapy response, underscoring the need for further analyses on DNA repair genes.

[Wireless digital radiography detectors in the emergency area: an efficacious solution].

Objectives: To evaluate the implementation of a flat panel digital radiolography (DR) system with WiFi technology in an emergency radiology area in which a computed radiography (CR) system was previously used. We analyzed aspects related to image quality, radiation dose, workflow, and ergonomics.

Material And Methods: We analyzed the results obtained with the CR and WiFi DR systems related with the quality of images analyzed in images obtained using a phantom and after radiologists' evaluation of radiological images obtained in real patients.

The radiologic findings of osteopathia striata are characteristic, and once they are identified, they lead to the correct diagnosis. Longitudinal sclerotic striation in long bones and osteosclerosis in facial bones should raise suspicion of osteopathia striata with cranial sclerosis.

Analysis of the Spanish-speaking mailing list RADIOLOGIA.

The objective of this study was to analyse the mailing list RADIOLOGIA during its first 5 years of operation (from 1998 to 2003). A survey questionnaire was sent to evaluate the characteristics of subscribers and to score (from 0 to 9) the functionality, usefulness and quality of the mailing list. All messages sent to the list during the evaluated period were classified and quantified.

[Intracranial haemorrhage secondary to a lightning strike: a case report].

Introduction: The damage caused to the central nervous system by lightning can be immediate or delayed. Cerebrovascular accidents are usually an infrequent complication of lightning strikes.

Case Report: We report the case of a patient who was hit by lightning and then developed an acute bilateral intraparenchymatous haemorrhage in the basal ganglia and the left internal capsule.

Fine needle aspiration cytology of clear cell carcinoma of the gallbladder with hepatic infiltration: a case report.

Background: Clear cell carcinoma of the gallbladder (CCG) is an unusual histologic variant recognized in the World Health Organ ization classification of tumors of the gallbladder and extrahepatic bile ducts. Although the clinicopathologic features have been documented in a few reports, to our knowledge the cytologic findings have not been described before. We report the fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) findings in a case of CCG with hepatic infiltration.
