Objectives: To study the possibility of classifying patients with BPS by UPOINT phenotypes and their correlation with the results of different BPS diagnostic tools. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Epidemiological, observational, longitudinal and multicentric study performed according to clinical practice. A total of 319 women with BPS were included, 79 with new diagnosis and 240 in follow-up.

Unlabelled: Efforts to use traditional native tissue strategies and reduce the use of meshes have been made in several countries. Combining native tissue repair with sufficient mesh applied apical repair might provide a means of effective treatment. The study group did perform and publish a randomized trial focusing on the combination of traditional native tissue repair with pectopexy or sacrocolpopexy and observed no severe or hitherto unknown risks for patients (Noé G.

Unlabelled: The technique of laparoscopic pectopexy was published in 2010. A subsequent randomized trial focused on pectopexy versus sacropexy revealed no new risks for patients and significant advantages in terms of operating time and de novo defecation disorders compared to sacrocolpopexy. The present international multicenter trial was performed to evaluate the applicability of the technique in clinical routine.

Objectives: We present a new surgery based on the round ligament anatomy that is called laparoscopic abdominopexy, which uses a synthetic mesh without fixation at any pelvic point. The aim of this study is to provide a step-by-step description of the laparoscopic abdominopexy technique and present the first anatomical and functional results of the procedure.

Methods: This prospective cohort study included patients with apical and anterior vaginal prolapse who were subjected to laparoscopic abdominopexy.

Objective: Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma(RCC) may develop in different anatomical locationsand after a strict follow up within normal limits. We assessthe importance of close follow up in patients with historyof RCC through 3 clinical cases with unusual locations ofmetastatic RCC.

Methods: We present 3 cases of metastatic involvementof pituitary, thyroid and mammary glands.

Although the laparoscopic ureteral reimplantation (LUR) has a history of over 20 years, its presence in the literature is relatively sparse, almost always in the form of small case series with low statistical power, which has prevented consistent results. It has proven to be a safe and effective technique, improving the safety profile and perioperative complications compared to open ureteral reimplantation (OUR). The few long-term results suggest a similar success rate between the open and laparoscopic approaches.

Objective: To assess the importance of management and close follow-up of patients with tuberous sclerosis that associate renal angiomyolipomas.

Methods: To report a case.

Results: A 55 years old men with tuberous sclerosis diagnosed in childhood and later finding of bilateral giant renal masses in imaging studies, with significant compromise of renal function.

Aim: To structure the rate of intraoperative complications that requires an intraoperative or perioperative resolution.

Methods: We perform a literature review of Medline database. The research was focused on intraoperative laparoscopic procedures inside the field of urological oncology.

Unlabelled: Polymorphisms Q279R, P574R and -1562 C/T of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) gene have been linked with the risk of cancer and with tumoral aggressiveness in various types of cancer. So far there are no studies in the literature analysing the link between polymorphisms Q279R, P574R and -1562 C/T of MMP-9 and prostate cancer.

Objectives: To establish the presence of the MMP-9's gene polymorphisms (Q279R, P574R and -1562 C/T)in relation to results of prostate biopsy, PSA values and Gleason score.

Objectives: To study the validity of Matrix Metalloproteinase 9 as a complementary marker to PSA for the diagnosis and prognosis of Prostate Cancer.

Methods: Prospective study structured as a hospital-based cohort of 100 consecutive patients undergoing prostate biopsy. Serum determination of MMP-9 was carried out by means of inmunoassay.
