Introduction: Infections caused by antimicrobial-resistant bacteria are a significant cause of death worldwide, and carbapenemase-producing bacteria are the principal agents. New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase-1 producing (KP-NDM-1) is an extensively drug-resistant bacterium that has been previously reported in Mexico.
