Methods: A mixed-methods approach was followed including a cross-sectional web-based survey and semi-structured interviews. Multivariable linear regressions were used to quantify the effect of gender and parenting tasks on social participation, hrQoL, and mental health.
Background: Studies estimate that at least 7.5% of adults are affected by long-term symptoms such as fatigue or cognitive impairment after the acute phase of COVID-19. COVID-19 vaccination may reduce the risk of long COVID.

Background: Permanent health impairments after a COVID-19 infection can lead to a lack of social participation and pronounced emotional stress. The aim of this study was to find out how Long COVID affects the social activities of those affected and understand the role that medical support and the immediate social environment play in this.
Methods: Between January and May 2022, 25 participants with long COVID were interviewed about their health situation, their perception of health care in Germany, and their social and professional context.
