In comparison to the lead halide perovskites, nowadays, lead-free halide perovskites have demonstrated a number of benefits, including efficient optical absorption, increased stability, variable bandgap, excellent mobility of carriers, non-toxicity, abundant raw ingredients, and low manufacturing cost. The use of the Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof (PBE) and Heyd-Scuseria-Ernzerhof (HSE) hybrid functional inside the quantum espresso software allowed for a thorough examination of these materials, potentially leading to improvements in the development of ecologically acceptable and economically sustainable perovskite-based products. This work has extensively examined the effects of compressive and tensile strain on the structural, optical, and electronic characteristics of the inorganic cubic perovskite SrAsX (X = F, Cl, Br) with varying X anion using first-principles density-functional theory (FP-DFT).

Nonetheless, its poor intrinsic electronic conductivity has led to inferior electrochemical performance in terms of rate capability and long cycling performance. To address this problem, a combined strategy is adopted, such as (1) carbon coating and (2) high valent Sn ion doping in the lattice site of vanadium in the NVP cathode.

Methods: A total of 2412 participants who underwent both chest CT and ECG-gated cardiac CT at the same period were included in the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis Exam 5. All participants were monitored for incident atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) events.
A twenty-four month long observational study conducted in an Asia's largest brackish water ecosystem, Chilika Lagoon, India, aimed to unravel dissolved organic matter (DOM) dynamics in this tropical brackish water ecosystem. The study assessed the interplay between allochthonous and autochthonous DOM sources during lean and active flow periods based on regional rainfall. Dissolved organic carbon (DOC), nitrogen (DON), and phosphorus (DOP) fluxes were analyzed, considering catchment runoff, phytoplankton production, benthic-pelagic interactions, and sea-lagoon exchanges as contributors.

The present study assessed the occurrence of microplastics in commercially available oral healthcare products such as toothbrushes, toothpastes, toothpowder, mouthwash, dental floss, and mouth freshener spray that have a pan-India distribution. The extracted microplastics were quantified and characterised using a microscope and ATR-FTIR.

The conventional electrode aluminum used in electrocoagulation (EC) for the textile wastewater undergoes pitting type of corrosion, so dissolution of the same is very high during electrolysis. This research focuses on the treatment of real-time textile effluent with copper electrodes that corrode uniformly during electrolysis, with optimizing operating parameters for high color removal efficiency (CRE%). The sludge acquired was analyzed by XPS and XRD to study the mechanism of dye removal.

The negative impacts resulting from those synergistic interactions are threatening coastal and marine ecosystems and the many goods and services they provide. This is particularly pervasive in the coastal zone of the Indian subcontinent.

A mixed-methods exploratory sequential design has been applied, and data has been collated from six randomly selected villages of Munshigonj district, Bangladesh. The research was divided into three phases.

Their sensitivities to pollutants can be reflected by changes in assemblage, which can provide useful information about ecosystem health. This study aimed to investigate the impact of organic and inorganic pollutants on the benthic ecology of the Chennai coast, with a focus on the 2017 oil spill caused by the collision of two ships.

In this investigation, environmental bacteria identified concurrently from multiple aquatic habitats viz., groundwater, canal, river and coastal waters were profiled for antibiotic resistance, metal tolerance, virulence factors and genes coding for these determinants.

An attempt was made to explore microbial community interactions in response to carbon, nitrogen and metal pollution. Additionally, experiments were designed to analyze the influence of these factors on horizontal gene transfer (HGT).

Suspended particulate matter (SPM) concentration in mangrove waters were about ~ 1.6-fold higher in west coast (Gulf of Kachchh (GOK), Mandovi-Zuari (MA-ZU) and Karwar-Kumta (KR-KU)], whereas the mean POC content in SPM along east coast [Sundarbans (SUN), Bhitarkanika (BHK), Coringa (COR) and Pichavaram-Muthupet (PI-MU)] was nearly two times higher than the west coast (1.

When organisms are exposed to an external stimulus, the endogenous oscillators synchronize to the cycling environment signal in a process known as entrainment. These environmental cues perform an important role in resetting the phase and period of the circadian clock.
