Background: Limited data on SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence in rural areas of northern Germany necessitate comprehensive cohort studies. We aimed to evaluate the seroprevalence, silent infection (SI) rates and risk factors for infections among children and adolescents in Western Pomerania from December 2020 to August 2022.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, serum or plasma samples from children and adolescents (6 months to 17 years) were collected during routine blood draw.

Perovskite-based SrSnO nanostructures doped with indium are prepared via a facile chemical precipitation method. Prepared nanostructures are used to assemble the dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), and their photovoltaic response and electrochemical impedance spectra are measured. Spectroscopic dimensions of silver nanoparticles and clusters in ZnO matrix and their role in bioinspired antifouling and photocatalysis.

Silver doped zinc oxide nanoparticles are synthesized by a solution combustion method. The samples characterized by a variety of spectroscopic and other techniques clearly reveal the presence of silver nanoparticles as well as silver clusters. The silver in the two forms was identified by careful deconvolution of X-ray photoelectron spectral results.

Operation BRAVE families: A preventive approach to lessening the impact of war on military families through preclinical engagement.

Objectives: Operation Building Resilience and Valuing Empowered Families (OBF) is a preventive, preclinical program that was developed by the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center's Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service to form a working partnership with families of wounded warrior parents from the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. The OBF staff helps to identify the families' needs and collaborates with many organizations at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to provide assistance. This article describes OBF, offers a case description, reviews current preventive programs for children exposed to trauma and disaster, and compares and contrasts OBF to these programs.

Therapeutic alliance building during the child psychiatric intake: does VTC make a difference?

This study examined potential changes in perceptions of therapeutic ("working") alliance during a child's initial diagnostic interview from the parent's perspective. The major study objective was to determine whether parental perceptions of alliance vary by group (video teleconferencing [VTC], face-to-face [FTF]) over time (Pre, Post intake).
