This study investigated a new 2-factor construct, termed cultural congruence, which is related to cultural competence in the delivery of mental health services to ethnic minority clients. Cultural congruence was defined as the distance between the cultural competence characteristics of the health care organization and the clients' perception of those elements according to their cultural needs. The measure evidenced both reliability and validity in predicting criterion-related indicators.

In this article the author discusses the lack of attention given to the concept of skewness in research reported in the general psychological literature. Although the report of descriptive statistics, such as means and standard deviations, is standard practice, skewness is rarely reported. Significance tests are available for determining departure from symmetry and normality, but do not indicate the magnitude of skew.

Objective: This study examines whether older adult primary care patients are satisfied with two intervention models designed to ameliorate their behavioral health problems.
