Background: Ceramic endosseous implant coatings have gained esteem due to their favorable osteoinductive and osteoconductive properties. However, such a layer may be prone to failure under in vivo conditions, which necessitates its modification.
Objectives: The aim of the present study was to modify an electrodeposited hydroxyapatite (HA) coating on titanium (Ti) with ultrashort-pulsed lasers for the incorporation of the ceramic into the sample surface and the texturing of the metal surface.
The aim of the work was to investigate the influence of the surface texture of composite based on PA6, intended for wet painting, on the stability of the colour and gloss parameters. The stability of the paint coating was required to be maintained despite exposure to mechanical stress resulting from attempts to manually remove graffiti stains. The study examined the influence of surface texture on the effectiveness of cleaning.

For this purpose, the surface functionalization of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) was carried out by means of aryl groups grafting via the diazotization reaction with selected aniline derivatives, and then nanocomposites based on ELIUM resin were fabricated. FT-IR analysis confirmed the effectiveness of the carried-out chemical surface modification of MWCNTs as new bands on FT-IR spectra appeared in the measurements.

Some of the most promising icephobic surfaces are those with hydrophobic properties. However, the relationship between hydrophobicity and low ice adhesion is not yet clearly defined.

Two mesh fractions of the filler were used, one of <40 µm and the other of 40-63 µm, in order to check the effect of the filler particle size on the composite properties. The composites obtained contained diatom shells in the concentrations from 0% to 5% wt.
