Objective: The current study aimed to determine the pregnancy outcomes complications in patients with SLE and its association with clinical, laboratory variables, disease activity, and medication use in the Saudi population, as well as pregnancy effect on disease activity.
Methods: A multicenter study included pregnant female patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) from three tertiary centers in Saudi Arabia. The demographics, clinical, and laboratory variables, SLE disease activity index (SLEDAI), medication before, during, and after pregnancy, planned pregnancy, pregnancy-related outcomes, and complications in comparison to age-matched healthy female controls were noted.
Background: Spontaneous pneumomediastinum and subcutaneous emphysema are rare and serious complications of dermatomyositis (DM).
Case Presentation: Our article presents two clinically heterogeneous cases of DM who developed pneumomediastinum and subcutaneous emphysema. The first was a 24-year-old lady with a recently diagnosed DM.
We describe a case of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) presenting initially with mesenteric vasculitis and urinary system involvement without any other SLE clinical features and a weakly positive antinuclear antibody on initial testing. She is a 15-year-old healthy female who presented with severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, and weight loss for more than one month. She later developed cystitis and bilateral hydronephrosis.

Studies have been conducted in many countries worldwide to determine the prevalence of RP. The aim of the current study was to assess the prevalence of RP in the Saudi Arabian population.

Objective: To describe a population of Saudi RA patients and to compare the findings to internationally reported data.
Study Objectives: Although previous studies suggested an increased prevalence of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) among patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), no existing large prospective study has addressed this association using objective measures. This study aims to assess the prevalence of OSA using polysomnography (PSG) in patients with RA and its relationship with RA activity.
Methods: Patients with RA who presented at the rheumatology clinic at a university hospital from 2017 to 2018 were eligible.
Objective: To compare the clinical features, efficacy and safety of treatment regimens, and outcomes of childhood- and adult-onset Takayasu arteritis (TAK).
Methods: The study was designed as a retrospective cohort study comparing patients with childhood-onset TAK (from 1986 onward) to patients with adult-onset TAK (from 1988 onward) who were followed up until 2014 or 2015 at 4 centers in Ontario, Canada. Demographic, clinical, laboratory, and angiographic features, treatment regimens, and outcomes were recorded throughout the course of the disease.
Introduction In the last few years, the use of telecommunication and mobile technology has grown significantly. This has led to a notable increase in the utilization of this telecommunication in healthcare, namely phone calls and text messaging (SMS). However, evaluating its global impact on improving healthcare processes and outcomes demands a more comprehensive assessment.

We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to estimate the remission rate after treatment with plasma exchange, and to determine if remission varied with patient or treatment characteristics.
Methods: We searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, Science Citation Index Expanded, and the Conference Proceedings Citation Index (Science and BIOSIS) for studies of patients with post-transplant recurrent FSGS who were treated with plasma exchange after recurrence (1950-2012).
Objective: Involvement of intracranial arteries in giant cell arteritis (GCA) is rare. We describe the neurologic complications of intracranial GCA (IC GCA) and available treatment options.
Methods: We describe 5 IC GCA cases from 3 Canadian vasculitis centers and review the literature.
