Introduction And Importance: Bone metastases are common in advanced malignancies, particularly from breast and prostate cancers, leading to significant morbidity due to pain, functional impairment, and skeletal-related events. This case report discusses a multidisciplinary approach using minimally invasive techniques for managing a challenging supracetabular metastatic lesion.

Case Presentation: A 46-year-old female with metastatic bone disease in the right supracetabular pelvic region secondary to primary breast cancer presented with severe pain (Numeric Analog Scale [NAS] 7-8) and functional impairment.

Background: Oncogenic KRAS mutations occur in nearly, 90% of patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Targeting KRAS has been complicated by mutational heterogeneity and rapid resistance. We developed a novel pan-RAS inhibitor, ADT-1004 (an oral prodrug of ADT-007) and evaluated antitumor activity in murine and human PDAC models.

Coronaviruses are a large group of viruses that infect animals as well as humans, while it is also suggested that, rarely, coronaviruses that infect animals can evolve and infect humans. Current evidence suggests that severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) coronavirus-2 leads to coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19), the respiratory illness responsible for COVID-19 pandemic, while it has a zoonotic origin, closely related to the bat-origin SARS-like coronavirus. Also, as per the current knowledge, the disease may induce significant and persistent lymphopenia which in turn may increase the risk for various opportunistic infections.

Background And Aim: Since its emergence in 2019, SARS-CoV-2 has caused the global COVID-19 pandemic, presenting significant challenges for healthcare systems worldwide. Extensive research has focused on diagnostics, treatments, and vaccine development to combat the virus. Given the need for effective strategies to reduce infection rates, disease progression, and severity, this study aimed to investigate the potential role of vitamin D (25OHD) in mitigating the severity of COVID-19.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a leading neurodegenerative disorder recognized by progressive cognitive decline and behavioral changes. The pathology of AD is characterized by the accumulation of amyloid-β (Aβ) plaques and the hyperphosphorylation of tau protein, which leads to synaptic loss and subsequent neurodegeneration. Additional contributors to disease progression include metabolic, vascular, and inflammatory factors.

Introduction And Importance: Trauma results in more deaths in childhood than all other causes combined, one of which is high kidney trauma. This case report presents minimally invasive management of high-grade kidney trauma in pediatrics.

Case Presentation: A 5-year-old boy was referred on day 10 for blunt abdominal trauma.

This review aims to explore the clinical and research applications of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL), in understanding, predicting, and managing obesity. It assesses the use of AI tools to identify obesity-related risk factors, predict outcomes, personalize treatments, and improve healthcare interventions for obesity. A comprehensive literature search was conducted using PubMed and Google Scholar, with keywords including "artificial intelligence", "machine learning", "deep learning", "obesity", "obesity management", and related terms.

Epoxidized vegetable oils present a viable substitute for polymers derived from petroleum. This research focuses on the impact of a process parameter on the epoxidation of palm stearin when zeolite ZSM-5 is used as a catalyst. This study synthesized peracetic acid as the oxidizing agent by combining hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid, adjusting molar ratios relative to palm stearin.

This Letter presents the first measurement of event-by-event fluctuations of the net number (difference between the particle and antiparticle multiplicities) of multistrange hadrons Ξ^{-} and Ξ[over ¯]^{+} and its correlation with the net-kaon number using the data collected by the ALICE Collaboration in pp, p-Pb, and Pb-Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02  TeV. The statistical hadronization model with a correlation over three units of rapidity between hadrons having the same and opposite strangeness content successfully describes the results.

Ticks exert a significant economic impact on the livestock industry, particularly in Asian regions. Presently, chemical acaricides constitute the primary method employed to combat tick infestations in livestock, but their use carries adverse environmental consequences. Overreliance on acaricides has contaminated milk and meat products with chemical residues while fostering tick resistance to these agents due to improper and intensive application.

Background: The clinical characteristics, therapy, and outcome of Fournier Gangrene (FG) in patients using sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) were examined in this systematic review.

Methods: Without a publication year restriction, we searched PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Cochrane. Additionally, we manually searched bibliographies using the terms "Fournier's gangrene" and "SGLT2 inhibitors.

Background: Pancreas Transplantation (PT) provides optimal treatment for patients with severe complicated Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM). Restoration of beta-cell mass allows return to euglycaemia and insulin independence. We aimed to examine its impact on the secondary complications associated with severe T1DM including diabetic eye disease, neuropathy and cardiovascular disease.

The controlled growth of two-dimensional (2D) perovskite atop three-dimensional (3D) perovskite films reduces interfacial recombination and impedes ion migration, thus improving the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Unfortunately, the random orientation of the spontaneously formed 2D phase atop the pre-deposited 3D perovskite film can deteriorate charge extraction owing to energetic disorder, limiting the maximum attainable efficiency and long-term stability of the PSCs. Here, we introduce a meta-amidinopyridine ligand and the solvent post-dripping step to generate a highly ordered 2D perovskite phase on the surface of a 3D perovskite film.

Introduction: To compare the clinical outcomes and healthcare utilization of patients enrolled in the multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot in Primary and Tertiary (DEFINITE) Care program with a matched historical cohort and estimate the program's long-term cost-effectiveness using simulation.

Research Design And Methods: This study consisted of two components: a 1-year observational outcome evaluation and a long-term simulation-based cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA). We conducted an observational study to analyze 2798 patients with diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) enrolled in the program between June 2020 and June 2021 (DEFINITE Care group) and 5462 patients with DFUs from June 2016 to December 2017 as historical controls.

Smallholder farmers produce over 40% of global palm oil, the world's most traded and controversial vegetable oil. Awareness of the effects of palm oil production on ecosystems and human communities has increased drastically in recent years, with ever louder calls for the private and public sector to develop programs to support sustainable cultivation by smallholder farmers. To effectively influence smallholder practices and ensure positive social outcomes, such schemes must consider the variety in perspectives of farmers and align with their priorities.

is a species from the genus (Meliaceae) and the chemical constituent has not been widely explored. A new cycloartane-type triterpenoid, pachyphyllanone (), along with four known compounds (-) were isolated from Miq. Furthermore, the structure of the new compound was elucidated by the interpretation of spectroscopic data, including 1D and 2D-NMR, as well as ECD and NMR calculations (DP4+ analysis).
