A study has been presented on the effects of intrinsic mechanical parameters, such as surface stress, surface elastic modulus, surface porosity, permeability and grain size on the corrosion failure of nanocomposite coatings. A set of mechano-electrochemical equations was developed by combining the popular Butler-Volmer and Duhem expressions to analyze the direct influence of mechanical parameters on the electrochemical reactions in nanocomposite coatings. Nanocomposite coatings of Ni with Al₂O₃, SiC, ZrO₂ and Graphene nanoparticles were studied as examples.

Objective: This study evaluates the importance of varying electrodiagnostic (EDX) parameters abnormalities in patients with possible lumbosacral radiculopathies (LSR).
Methods: 34 patients referred for EDX studies with clinical findings consistent with a LSR without other causes for their symptoms were evaluated. Studies included not only standard (Routine EDX) nerve conduction studies (NCS) including F-waves and needle electromyography (nEMG) but also a multiparameter automated analysis system using prefabricated nerve conduction electrodes without nEMG (NC-stat EDX).
This review summarizes the major neuro-ophthalmologic manifestations of epilepsy. Positive or negative visual manifestations such as hallucinations or visual loss may be seen. There is considerable overlap of the visual manifestations with migrainous aura and transient ischemic attack (TIA), making a detailed history important for accurate diagnosis.
