This article presents a dataset containing 641 images of Thyroid Gammagraphies studies corresponding to 235 patients over 18 years of age that were acquired in the period from 2016 to 2024 at the Nuclear Medicine Service of the of the (IICS - UNA), Paraguay. The aim of the present study was to develop the first life tables for the dog population of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires by constructing life expectancy tables. Data on canines received for final disposal at the Luis Pasteur Zoonosis Institute of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires from January 2018 to December 2021 were used to prepare the life tables. In recent years, the escalating concerns surrounding environmental pollution and the need for sustainable wastewater treatment solutions have underscored the significance of developing technologies that can efficiently treat wastewater while also reducing negative ecological effects. In this context, our study aims to contribute to the advancement of sustainable technologies for wastewater treatment, by investigating the effects that bare magnetite nanoparticles and those functionalized with the enzyme laccase could have in an aquatic animal, zebrafish, at various life cycle stages. Exposure to magnetite nanoparticles shows some effects on embryo hatching, survival rates, or larval behavior at higher concentrations.

CD163 expressed on cell surface of porcine alveolar macrophages (PAMs) serves as a cellular entry receptor for porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV). The extracellular portion of CD163 contains nine scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) and two proline-serine-threonine (PST) domains. A methodology for simultaneous (not sequential) determination of Cd and Ni in powder chocolate samples by high-resolution continuum source graphite furnace atomic absorption spectroscopy (HR-CS-GF-AAS) and slurry sample analysis was developed. Acid digestion of the samples was not necessary, considering the high total fat content of this type of matrix (above 10 %), and no apparent deterioration of the graphite tubes was even observed once these samples were subjected to analysis. Despite the volatilities of both elements are quite different, simultaneous quantification was achieved using a slow heating ramp atomization, covering a convenient and wide temperature gradient for Cd volatilization at low temperatures and subsequent atomization of Ni at elevated temperatures, using the same heating program without an apparent change in sensitivity.

Methods: From March 2020 to June 2021, the authors conducted an observational descriptive multicenter feasibility study based on artificial intelligence (AI) for COVID-19 screening using chest images of patients with respiratory conditions who presented at public hospitals. The AI platform was used to diagnose chest CT scan images; this was then compared with molecular diagnosis (RT-PCR) to determine whether they matched and to analyze the feasibility of AI for screening patients with suspected COVID-19.
