A 5-year retrospective study of cobalt-chromium-based fixed dental prostheses.

Purpose: The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate the 5-year clinical outcome for ceramic veneered cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) fixed dental prostheses (FDPs) fitted in a private clinical setting.

Materials And Methods: All patients treated consecutively with Co-Cr FDPs from January 2000 to November 2005 were included, and complications were registered. Patient records were examined for details on the restorations and abutment teeth.
