Objective: To audit basal cell carcinoma resections against standard guidelines.
Methods: The retrospective study was done at the Department of Pathology, Sherwood Forest Hospital, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom, from July 2020 to December 2020 and comprised basal cell carcinoma cases regardless of age and gender. All parameters laid down by the Royal College of Pathologists were matched with the data.
Nisin, a peptide used as a natural food preservative, is employed in this work for the development of a novel nanocarrier system. Stable and uniform nisin-shelled nanoemulsions (NSNE) with a diameter of 100 ± 20 nm were successfully prepared using 20 kHz flow-through ultrasonication technique. The NSNE showed limited toxicity, high bactericidal activity and high drug loading capacity (EE 65 % w/w).

It has been observed that the degradation rate increases with an increase in the initial concentration of the surfactant until the CMC is reached. Above the CMC an almost constant degradation rate is observed, suggesting that the surfactant in its monomer form is involved in the degradation process.

The degradation of the dye followed first-order kinetics under the conditions examined. Based on gas chromatographic results and sonoluminescence measurements of sonicated aqueous solutions of the dye, it is concluded that pyrolysis does not play a significant role in its degradation.
