Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of stainless steel crowns (SSCs) and zirconia crowns for restoring primary posterior teeth in children aged 3-9 years.
  • A total of 40 treated teeth were divided into two groups, and various factors such as crown retention, TMJ issues, gingival response, plaque accumulation, and tooth wear were assessed over 1 and 3 months.
  • Results indicated that SSCs outperformed zirconia crowns in most areas measured, solidifying their status as the preferred option for full coverage restorations in primary molars.
