Purpose: This observational pilot study investigated (1) carpal positioning in the neutral wrist pose, (2) the scapholunate (SL) rotation axis, (3) physiological SL motion, and (4) the SL distance after combined palmar and dorsal SL ligament reconstruction using quantitative four-dimensional computed tomography (4D-CT) imaging.

Methods: Six subjects were included, and 4D-CT images of both wrists were obtained. Kinematic parameters of the treated side were compared to those of the healthy contralateral side, which was used as the normal reference.

The third intracellular loop (ICL3) of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) fold is important for the signal transduction process downstream of receptor activation. Despite this, the lack of a defined structure of ICL3, combined with its high sequence divergence among GPCRs, complicates characterization of its involvement in receptor signalling. Background: The aim was to determine the threshold Quick Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand (QuickDASH) score that estimates a diagnosis of major depression in patients with fingertip injuries in American and Dutch patients.

Methods: In this observational cross-sectional study, 112 patients with a recent fingertip injury measured symptoms of depression with the Patient Health Questionnaire and upper extremity disability with the QuickDASH.

Results: In the US cohort, 8 of 56 patients had an estimated diagnosis of major depression.

A retrospective study compared outcomes of total wrist arthrodesis as a salvage for total wrist arthroplasty versus primary total wrist arthrodesis. Seventy-one wrists were reviewed after a minimum follow-up of 12 months. Thirty-two wrists with failed total wrist arthroplasty were converted to a wrist arthrodesis and 39 wrists received a primary wrist arthrodesis.
