, a zoonotic pathogen, is commonly found as a commensal bacterium in the respiratory tracts of pigs. Under specific conditions, it becomes invasive and enters the blood, causing severe systemic infections. For , effective acquisition of carbon sources in different host niches is necessary for its survival.

Bacterial persisters are a subpopulation that can survive briefly under high concentrations of antibiotic treatment and resume growth after lethal stress. Importantly, bacterial persisters are thought to be a significant cause of ineffective antibiotic therapy and recurrent infections in clinical practice and are thought to contribute to the development of antibiotic resistance.

We isolated 52 strains from 542 samples collected from pigs with atrophic rhinitis and bronchopneumonia in central China. Multi-locus sequence typing identified two prevalent sequence types: ST6 (69.

However, the preparation processes depending on the chemical properties of the substrate and the poor stability of the lubricant layer hinder the practical applications. In this work, a facile method to fabricate SLIPSs based on the mussel-inspired polydopamine (PDA)-mediated nanosilica structures is demonstrated.

The optical indicator 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-N-methylpyridyl) porphyrin p-toluenesulfonate (TMPyP) was adsorbed on a hydrolyzed polyacrylonitrile (PAN) membrane by electrostatic attraction and further immobilized through layer-by-layer deposition of poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH) and poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) (PSS) on the membrane surface. The electrostatic self-assembly of polyelectrolytes on the membrane is influenced by pH and salt concentration of polyelectrolytes.
