Article Synopsis
  • This study investigates the link between the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and breast cancer risk among individuals aged 19 and older in Indonesia, using a case-control design.
  • The findings showed that the TyG index was significantly higher in breast cancer patients compared to controls, with higher quartiles of the TyG index indicating increased odds of developing breast cancer.
  • The study concluded that a higher TyG index is associated with breast cancer risk in a nonlinear manner, along with other factors like smoking and contraceptive use.
