Study Design: Retrospective, non-randomised, single-centre study.
Objectives: Comparative study of urodynamic tests in patients presenting social continence after AMS 800 or ZSI 375 insertion.
Materials And Methods: Study was open to patients with social continence, implanted with AMS 800 or ZSI 375.
Objective: To assess the objective efficacy of transcutaneous posterior tibial nerve stimulation in children presenting with overactive bladder resistant to well conducted treatment.
Material And Method: This was a randomized, double-blind, controlled study on 20 children with OAB. All patients were previously treated with anticholinergic drugs associated with detrusor rehabilitation, diet advice, bladder-voiding hygiene and constipation treatment, with poor clinical results.
Purpose: The prostate cancer (PCa) treatment is multimodal. Thus multidisciplinary team management (MDTM) decision-making process appears as a tool to answer all aspects of PCa treatment. Our aim was to evaluate the reproducibility of therapeutic decisions made at MDTM.

The Prolift mesh system to treat genital prolapse was introduced in 2005. It was withdrawn from the market in early 2013 after rising doubts about safety.

Materials And Methods: An opinion survey by mail questionnaire was carried out in all 473 patients who had had a consultation with a specialist in two local general hospitals between November 2009 and April 2010.
Results: Response rate was 74%.
Introduction: The objective of this article is to review the mechanisms of action of abiraterone acetate, independently of the androgenic pathway.
Material And Method: A systematic review of the literature was carried out on Medline and Embase databases.
Results: Inhibition of CYP17A1 with abiraterone acetate induces changes in steroid metabolism, whose main component is the reduction of DHEA and androstenedione synthesis.
Introduction: Abiraterone acetate has increased the overall survival of patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. However, despite an initial response to treatment, many patients develop resistance to the drug. In this paper we present different hypotheses that may explain the emergence of resistance.

Material: A prospective study was performed during 15 days in February 2012. The data recorded in our database regarded the resident (sex, age, time to go to work), the call (emergency, type and reason) and the person who called (grade, department).
Background: The objective of this study is to evaluate the feasibility, tolerance and efficacy of salvage external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) in persistent or recurrent prostate cancer after failed high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy.
Methods: We reviewed data on tolerance and oncologic outcomes for all patients with biopsy-proven locally recurrent or persistent prostate cancer who underwent salvage EBRT in our department between April 2004 and June 2008. Minimum follow-up for inclusion was 2 years.
The life expectancy of patients with localized prostate cancer at treatment initiation has increased, and post-treatment quality of life has become a key issue. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of Radical prostatectomy (RP) on patients' sexual health and satisfaction according to sexual motivation using a self-administered questionnaire completed by two groups of RP patients, with high or lower levels of sexual motivation. A total of 63 consecutive patients were included (mean age, 63.

To determine medium-term outcomes and complications after treatment of severe Peyronie's disease by porcine small intestinal submucosa (SIS) grafts, we retrospectively reviewed 33 consecutive plaque incisions followed by 4-ply SIS grafting in 28 patients (2002-2009). Postoperative complications, penile length preservation, de novo ED, penile curvature correction and curvature recurrence rates were recorded.

Patients And Methods: • We performed a retrospective review of all patients in our centre who received first-line treatment with a second-generation Ablatherm™ device (EDAP-TMS, Lyon, France). • Oncological failure was given either by biochemical failure (prostate-specific antigen, PSA, nadir plus 1.
The objective of this study was to report on technical incidents and early and late complications occurring in high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatment of patients with localized prostate cancer. We performed a retrospective review of patients who were treated by Ablatherm at our centre. We recorded all technical incidents, treatment discontinuations and early (<1 month) and late complications.

Since there are no guidelines on immediate postoperative thromboprophylaxis, we performed a telephone survey of clinical practice in all renal transplantation centers in France.
Methods: Each center considered 4 cases relating to renal transplant candidates on dialysis with an increasing risk of thrombosis: Case 1: patient with no identified risk factors; Case 2: patient with an earlier incidence of deep vein thrombosis; Case 3: patient with ischemic heart disease on antiplatelet therapy; Case 4: patient with atrial fibrillation taking a vitamin K antagonist (VKA) with lupus nephritis syndrome.
Objectives: To evaluate the recommended erectile dysfunction treatment algorithm for men over age 65.
Patients And Methods: Between 2004 and 2006, 334 men were treated for ED at our institution, of whom 64 were greater than 65 years old (19.2%).
Objectives: Graft thrombosis is a major complication of transplantation. However, there are no recommendation on immediate postoperative thromboprophylaxis after kidney transplantation. We recorded clinical practices in France.
