- To enhance treatment, researchers developed a 12% HST oral ointment to increase the concentration and effectiveness of its active compounds.
- The ointment demonstrated good spreadability and stability for over 8 weeks, exhibited no irritation on oral mucosa in tests, and significantly reduced inflammation and wound depth in a hamster model of COM compared to a control treatment.
