[Early integration of palliative care; implications for people with chronic diseases].

Introduction: Globally, there is a growing number of population with noncommunicable and aging diseases that are eligible for palliative care.

Objective: To analyze when palliative care should be integrated in people with non-oncological chronic diseases and the implications of its implementation.

Methodology: Review of scientific literature in the Web of Science, PubMed and CINAHL databases, using the descriptors palliative care, chronic diseases, and benefits.

[Advanced practice nursing as a proposal to improve access and coverage in oncology for Latin America].

PAHO/WHO proposes to implement the role of Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in Latin America, to reduce gaps in coverage and access to health care. For this purpose, it is necessary to train nursing professionals with an expanded role, which allows them to collaborate in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of people with specific diseases, under established protocols and clinical guidelines and within consolidated interdisciplinary health teams in a cost-effective way. One of the areas with the greatest coverage deficit in Latin America is adult oncology, with inequality in care opportunities for these patients.

Perception of support in professional's and technician's grief of pediatric intensive care units in public hospitals.

Introduction: Death in childhood is a reality faced by health professionals, especially in highly com plex units such as intensive care ones. This leads to feelings of helplessness and frustration in health professionals, compromising their physical, emotional, and mental health, which is worsened by the feeling of low social support and poor preparation for coping with death and support for the patient's family.

Objective: To expose the perception of sorrow support of professionals and techni cians in pediatric intensive care units of public hospitals, after the death of the patients.

Supporting in grief and burnout of the nursing team from pediatric units in Chilean hospitals.

Objective To know the levels of Burnout Syndrome and perception of grief support in nursing teams of oncology and pediatric intensive care in public hospitals in Chile. Method A study of descriptive cross-sectional design. The Maslach Burnout Inventory and the Grief Support Health Care Scale were applied to university-level and technical nursing professionals between March and November 2015.
