The European Health Literacy Survey Questionnaire (HLS-EU-Q47) is available in multiple languages, and shortened versions have also been developed. This study aimed to examine the reliability and validity of the short version of the questionnaire (HLS-Q12) developed for community-dwelling older adults in Japan.
