Endometriosis is a chronic disease with differing clinical presentations. Treatment strategies depend mainly on clinical presentation and patient lifestyle. In women newly diagnosed with endometriosis, it is often difficult to understand the pathophysiologic origin, the potential individual impairment due to disease and the different treatment options.

Using mRNA sequencing, we analyzed the transcriptomes of fetal human and embryonic mouse VZ, SVZ, and cortical plate. In mouse, the transcriptome of the SVZ was more similar to that of the cortical plate than that of the VZ, whereas in human the opposite was the case, with the inner and outer SVZ being highly related to each other despite their cytoarchitectonic differences.

If the newborn is expelled under water and remains there until death, the lungs cannot be ventilated with air. In case of incomplete or only temporary submersion, aeration of the lungs may develop in the immediate postpartum period.

We found that progenitors in the outer SVZ (OSVZ) of developing human neocortex retain features of radial glia, in contrast to rodent SVZ progenitors, which have limited proliferation potential. Although delaminating from apical adherens junctions, OSVZ progenitors maintained a basal process contacting the basal lamina, a canonical epithelial property.

In particular the influence of acidemia will be contrasted with criteria of pregnancy and delivery.
Study Design: 248 infants delivered with cord umbilical arterial pH < 7.

This case report describes for the first time a manifestation of thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP, Moschcowitz's disease) during pregnancy. The characteristic neurologic symptoms of TTP were missing, while the typical clinical signs of the HELLP syndrome could be observed. Furthermore the biochemical proof of TTP was obtained by tracing ultra-large clotting factor VIII (von Willebrand factor) multimers in the patient's plasma.

Study Design: Between 1989 and 1992, 849 live infants had MAF. For pain relief during labor 214 women received pethidine 50-150 mg i.
In a prospective study were performed methods for electronic supervision in 163 lying and standing patients beyond the end of pregnancy. Results of the nonstress test (NST) and standing challenge test (SCT) were correlated with late and severe variable decelerations of fetal heart rate during labor, Apgar scores at 5 minutes and pH in arterial cord blood. The correlation of NST and SCT results and the various measures of fetal and neonatal condition indicated that an individual fetus at risk cannot be identified with a high degree of accuracy.

Apoprotein B (apo B) is the mediator for the uptake of LDL into the cell. This investigation was done to find relations between progesterone and apo B concentrations in the blood serum of pregnant women.

The risk for the presence of meconium in airways is increased if meconium is visible at the vocal cords (p less than 0.

Reported is a case of ventriculo-peritoneal shunt owing to hydrocephalus internus and partial thrombosis of V. cava. By means of the case the reasons of increased intracranial pressure and its prevention in pregnancy and delivery are discussed.

Eleven twin pregnancies in which one of the two foetuses had died more than 24 hours before birth were evaluated for this report. Intra-uterine death of one foetus did not necessarily entail death of the other. The vitality of a newborn and the neonatal period were not affected by death of one of the twins.
