Fungal Peptic Ulcer Disease in an Immunocompetent Patient.

Unlabelled: The lifetime prevalence of peptic ulcer disease (PUD) is 5-10%. While PUD in immunocompetent patients is most commonly associated with infection or the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), other common causes of PUD must also be considered in the differential diagnosis. We describe a case of endoscopic and histological resolution of PUD related to infection in a healthy, immunocompetent woman.

We sought to evaluate the incidence and outcomes of GIB in STEMI patients using a nationwide database. We identified adults admitted with STEMI between in the National Inpatient Sample (2003 to 2016), and compared the morbidity, mortality, resource utilization, and cost in patients with and without GIB.
