Article Synopsis
  • The study explores how global positive expectancies influence substance use among adolescents, suggesting that these expectancies shape attitudes, norms, self-efficacy, and intentions.

  • The research also supports the idea that global positive expectancies can be considered a second-order factor, which includes components of optimism and two aspects of hope: agency and pathways.
