Ectopic eruption of molars occurs more frequently in developing permanent dentition, and requires immediate intervention. Herein, two cases are discussed with ectopic eruption of permanent maxillary first molars which were diagnosed and managed conservatively using a modified Humphrey's appliance, named the NR's appliance. Copper oxide nanosheets (CuO NSs) have been successfully obtained by exploiting an effective one-step approach of sugar-blowing method followed by calcination. The nanosheets were characterized by several techniques like X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Impressively, CuO NSs display haloperoxidase (HPO) like catalytic activity which catalyses the oxidation of chloride ions by HO giving rise to reactive chlorine species (RCS).

Background: The burden of non-tuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) disease is increasing worldwide but still its diagnosis is delayed and it is mistaken as multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB).The present study was performed to develop a multiplex PCR assay for detection and identification of clinically most common NTM to the species level from pulmonary samples.

Results: Out of 50 isolates, 26 were identified as Mycobacterium kansasii (MK), 20 were identified as Mycobacterium abscessus (MA) and 4 were identified as Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) through multiplex PCR and further confirmed by sequencing.
