The transcription nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kappaB) was first described in 1986. Currently, the NF-kappaB has been linked to several metabolic and inflammatory diseases as well as to several types of cancer. NF-kappaB will continue to be of interest in many disease processes such as inflammatory, infectious and neoplastic.
