The Asian Citrus Psyllid (ACP), Diaphorina citri, severely threatens citrus production worldwide by transmitting the greening (= Huanglongbing)-causing bacterium Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus. There is growing evidence that the push-pull strategy is suitable to partially mitigate HLB by repelling ACP with transgenic plants engineered to produce repellents and attracting the vector to plants with a minimal disease transmission rate. Species that pull ACP away from commercial citrus plants have been identified, and transgenic plants that repel ACP have been developed.

Studies that point out cheap and efficient solutions have been an obstacle to the advancement of solutions for degraded area recovery programs. For this, a vegetable home experiment was developed, with an entirely randomized design with 5 treatments being a control (no metal) and 4 nickel concentrations (200 μM/L; 400 μM/L; 600 μM/L and 800 μM/L) with 6 repetitions.

This study focuses on the chemical characterization and antimicrobial evaluation of Caatinga green propolis. Twelve compounds were isolated through different chromatographic techniques, including flavanones (naringenin, 7--methyleriodictyol, sakuranetin), flavones (hispidulin, cirsimaritin), flavonols (quercetin, quercetin-3-methyl ether, kaempferol, 6-methoxykaempferol, viscosine, penduletin), and one chalcone (kukulkanin B).

Although several methods estimate the ICC proportion, the one based on cigarette butt (CB), the most littered item worldwide, is less common. This study aimed at estimating the ICC proportion of Guarujá, a major Brazilian city, based on littered CBs.

Study Design: Systematic review (SR) and meta-analysis.
Methods: The research question of this SR was "What is the prevalence of dysphonia in children?" An electronic search was performed using the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System online (Medline), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, EMBASE, Web of Science, and SCOPUS database.
Objective: To map the procedures and characterize the results of multidimensional voice assessment of individuals with sleep-related breathing disorders.
Method: This scoping review searched the MEDLINE, LILACS, Scopus, EMBASE, Web of Science, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, ProQuest, and MedRxiv databases, manually searched citations, grey literature, and consulted with experts. It included studies whose participants had sleep-related breathing disorders and underwent voice assessment.
Brazilian Red Propolis (BRP) is a natural product known for its rich chemical composition and therapeutic potential. This study investigates the phytochemical profile and evaluates the cytotoxic, antiplasmodial, and antimicrobial properties of red propolis extract and its isolated compounds vestitol (1), neovestitol (2), medicarpin (3), 7-O-methylvestitol (4), and oblongifolin B (5). The extract showed selective cytotoxicity against cancer cell lines (IC: 16-39 μg/mL).

Mesenchymal stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED) were cultured in a 2D monolayer and then as 3D multicellular spheroids. An image of a periapical lesion of an upper lateral incisor tooth was obtained by computed tomography and was used as a model for photopolymer resin 3D printing to generate a negative frame of the lesion.

The aim of the present study was to examine the toxicity, genotoxicity, and chemoprevention effects attributed to exposure to the brown propolis hydroalcoholic extract (BPHE) of . Acute oral toxicity test was conducted using Wistar Hannover rats, demonstrating that the highest dose tested (2,000 mg/kg b.

Methods: A total of 391 singers participated in the study-192 females and 198 males, with a mean age of 33 years. Validation was performed according to the criteria recommended by the COnsensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement INstruments, evaluating the following domains, properties, and measurement: reliability (reliability and internal consistency), construct validity (transcultural validity and structural validity), and criterion validity (concurrent criterion validity).
Microplastics (MPs) global ubiquitously affects particularly coastal regions under significant anthropogenic pressures, where there are limited monitoring efforts. Bivalves are valuable sentinels of MPs contamination. This investigation determined MP contamination in oysters, clams, and mussels at Santos-São Vicente, a heavily urbanized estuary in Brazil, focusing on socio-environmental predictors, spatial distribution, and interspecies variations.

Objective: The aetiology of impairments in autonomic modulation of heart rate variability (HRV) in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) remains unclear, as does the impact of aerobic physical training (APT) on controlling endocrine-metabolic disorders and HRV. This is because these women often present excess body fat. Therefore, we assessed whether the dysregulation in autonomic modulation of HRV in women with PCOS is due to endocrine-metabolic disorders and whether the combination of excess body fat with endocrine-metabolic disorders amplifies cardiovascular autonomic deficits.

However, signs of toxicity were recently observed in long-term studies using the hydroalcoholic extract of red propolis (RPHE), likely due to polyprenylated benzophenones.
