RESULTS OF EVLT: RADIAL FIBER VERSUS BARE-TIP FIBER WITH CHEMICAL ASSISTANCE.

Purpose of the study - comparison of the effectiveness of various methods of endovenous laser coagulation of the great saphenous vein, searching the optimal scheme for the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency. Retrospective analyze of 318 clinical cases of combined surgical treatment using various methods of thermoablation (bare-tip fiber, radial fiber, simultaneous thermoablation and echosclerobliteration) of a great saphenous vein. By the parameter of the great saphenous vein occlusion, the results in the group of simultaneous thermoablation and echosclerobliteration surpassed the bare-tip thermoablation group results and were comparable with the results of radial thermoablation.

[Comparative study of aging, UV treatment, and radiation on cataract formation].

[Production of monoclonal antibodies to the prion protein and their characterization].

Antibodies to the prion protein (PrP), particularly, monoclonal antibodies, are necessary tools in the diagnostics and study of prion diseases and potential means of their immunotherapy. For the production of monoclonal antibodies, BALB/c mice were immunized by a recombinant bovine PrP. Three stable hybridomas producing antibodies of IgM class were prepared.
