Diagnostics of thyroid gland pathology becomes more efficient with combined use of ultrasound and Doppler Ultrasonography. The article presents Color Doppler Ultrasonography data of 91 patients with hypertrophic and atrophic form of autoimmune thyroiditis. The obtained results showed considerable increase in resistive index in patients with chronic autoimmune thyroiditis and consequently the index can be used as diagnostic criterion of chronic autoimmune thyroiditis.

Treatment of patients with autoimmune thyroiditis with phytoconcentrates dzherelo and lizorm has been shown to improve the patients general well-being, alleviate gross manifestations of the condition, impede the development of the autoimmune process. The above therapy is well-tolerated, has no hepato-/nephrotoxic effect, causes no functional/structural disturbances, and does not affect the sizes of the thyroid gland. The phytoconcentrates dzherelo and lizorm can be recommended as treatment of autoimmune thyroiditis (euthyroid state, mild hypothyroisis, in those settings where activity of the autoimmune process is not very high.

Hematological studies of 93 patients with coronary heart disease (the main group comprised 35 subjects and 4 control groups 58 subjects) and mathematic analysis of the data obtained have demonstrated that application of impulse and sensory training leads to a number of significant alterations on the part of the peripheral blood, with these alterations being similar to those seen during the performance of physical work or mental ideas associated with this work performance.
