Botox injection in treatment of sialorrhea in children with cerebral palsy.

Background: The occurrence of sialorrhea (drooling) in children with cerebral palsy is one of the important complications of this disease, which is associated with the impaired quality of life of patients and also the dissatisfaction of their parents. Botox injection in the salivary glands is one of the treatment methods that has recently received special attention in these patients, but there are still many challenges regarding its effectiveness and safety. We aimed to test the effectiveness and safety of botulinum toxin type A in reducing sialorrhea in children with cerebral palsy.

Gastrointestinal bleeding due to gastrointestinal lipoma: A case report.

Background: Lipomas are common harmless tumors that are created in the colon in the gastrointestinal tract. The aim of this study was to report a case study on gastrointestinal lipoma with GIB.

Background: The chronicity of psoriasis often requires continuous topical treatment.

Materials And Methods: Here, the radical protection of a cream containing various herbal oils was evaluated in vivo by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy and its skin penetration by Raman microscopy in intact and barrier-disturbed skin. Changes in skin barrier properties were evaluated after 4 weeks of daily topical application using in vivo laser scanning microscopy (LSM) and transepidermal water loss in 26 healthy volunteers.

Positive exercise tolerance test (ETT) on asymptomatic Iranian cases aged over 60 years.

Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the prognostic importance of positive exercise treadmill test (ETT) in predicting coronary artery disease (CAD) among asymptomatic population based on coronary angiographic findings.

Methods: The comparative study was conducted on a sample of over 60-year-old asymptomatic and symptomatic patients referred to our clinics for screening and clinical reasons between September 2006 and September 2007. All subjects with a positive ETT provided information about their cardiovascular risk factors through a validated questionnaire.

Effects of copper and superoxide dismutase content of seminal plasma on buffalo semen characteristics.

To investigate the effects of copper and superoxide dismutase (SOD) content of seminal plasma on buffalo semen characteristics, 54 semen samples collected from buffalo bulls by a bovine artificial vagina were used. Semen characteristics (motility, viability, morphology, concentration and volume) were recorded. Seminal plasma was harvested by centrifugation and kept frozen until analysis.
