Laser direct deposition (LDD) is widely used to repair and manufacture high-value industrial components. However, it faces various defects, such as porosity, cracks, non-uniform microstructure, lack of fusion, keyhole phenomenon, element segregation, and undesirable secondary phases. A method to manage these defects is to concurrently apply ultrasonic vibrations (USV) during the LDD process.

Duplex stainless steel is an alloy that combines the advantages of austenitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel. It has excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and good weldability. One of the main problems in marine shafts using X2CrNiMoN22-5-3 Duplex Stainless Steel (2205) is bending and warping over time.

The effectiveness of electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding is valuable for construction materials and can be enhanced by the addition of nickel particles to silicone rubber. This investigation reports the chemical reduction process employed to produce nickel powders. The resulting powders were analyzed through SEM imaging and X-ray diffraction analysis, which indicated the production of crystalline, pure nickel powders with spherical morphology.

This research study was conducted to investigate the laser melting parameters of NiCrAlY-APS coating. High-temperature oxidation was investigated using yttria partially stabilized zirconia (YSZ) ceramic coating. Also, the oxidation behavior of the TBC coating was investigated and studied before to and after laser surface melting of the NiCrAlY coating.

In the present study, the tensile strength, fracture surface, hardness, and amount of residual stress in Inconel 625 super alloy cladded with direct metal deposition (DLD) process in the states before and after stress relief was studied. Residual stresses on the cladding layer surface were determined via XRD method. According to results, the yield strength of Am sample increased by 10% compared to thecast sample (reference sample).

In this research study, the formulation of precursor-type Cu pastes was done by mixing copper (II) acetate and 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP). Accordingly, the influence of the complex agent amount on the Cu pastes stability was examined at diverse mole ratio ratios. The Cu paste's optimal formulation was then obtained with the copper acetate to AMP ratio of 0.

In this research, solvent based polyamide - imide (PAI)/clay nanocomposites were prepared successfully using the solution dispersion technique. With the assistance of the ultrasonic wave, the effect of the ultrasonic wave time on the microstructure of 3wt% PAI/C20A nanocomposite (NC) was investigated. Then, the best ultrasonic parameters were selected and the effects of the concentration of Cloisite 20A (C20A) (1, 3 and 5wt% C20A) on the microstructure and mechanical properties (adhesion, hardness, flexibility, wear and impact) of NCs were investigated.
