Background: Teachers can face demanding and stressful working conditions. Classroom environments in elementary schools are dynamic and challenging, which can be mentally and emotionally exhausting for teachers. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of psychological distress and identify associated factors among elementary school teachers.

Implications of cognitive and daily living capabilities on early type 2 diabetes management: a preliminary case-control study.

Background: Adherence to the transition from oral agents to insulin injections in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus therapy varies among patients and is not uniformly successful, leading to suboptimal glycemic control in certain cases. This study aims to investigate the potential correlation between cognitive and daily functional capabilities and glycemic control in middle-aged to older adults (40-74 years old) diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus for less than 10 years, specifically those who have recently transitioned to insulin injections and have lower education levels within the context of a developing country.

Methods: A case-control study was conducted with 30 poorly controlled diabetes mellitus (PCDM) patients recognized by HbA1c levels > 8% compared to 30 fairly controlled diabetes mellitus (FCDM) patients with HbA1c levels ≤ 8%.

Volumetric analysis of hippocampal subfields and their asymmetry assessment recently has been useful biomarkers in neuroscience. In this study, hippocampal subfields atrophy and pattern of their asymmetry in the patient with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) were evaluated. MRI images of 20 AD patients, 20 MCI patients, and 20 healthy control (HC) were selected.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder MicroRNAs (miRNAs) may be promising diagnostic biomarkers for AD. Previous evidence shows that miR-15b-5p, hsa-let7g-5p and hsa-let7d-5p might confer potential blood biomarkers for timely diagnosis of AD. Therefore, in this replication study, we aimed to investigate the serum transcript level of these miRNAs to assess for their potential as diagnostic or prognostic biomarker in AD patients.

Turkish Version of the Test Your Memory (TYM-TR) as a Screening Tool in Memory Clinics.

Introduction: This study compared the Turkish version of Test Your Memory (TYM) MMSE (Mini-Mental State Examination) and CDT (Clock Drawing Test) in patients with neurocognitive disorder.

Methods: After a thorough medical workup, patients with a diagnosis of neurocognitive disorder were enrolled. A cross-sectional design was used to compare the TYM results with those of MMSE and CDT.
