Knowledge on neosporosis and associated risk factors in different species of animals are so important for designing the control programs and reduce the economic losses globally. This literature review targeted for evaluating the infection rate of in animals in Iran. Until April 2020, all of published documents in the main English and Persian-language databases were searched.

In the present study, Cryptosporidium infection was compared in malnourished and well-nourished children by modified acid-fast staining, nested-polymerase chain reaction (nested-PCR) and loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) methods. As a case-control study, Cryptosporidium infection in 94 malnourished children was evaluated and compared with those of 188 age and gender-matched well-nourished children.

Unlabelled: BACKGROUND : Microsporidia may cause infection in both immunocompromised and immunocompetent populations. The best strategy to control microsporidiosis is obtaining thorough knowledge of its outbreak and pathogenicity. PURPOSE : Because of the lack of precise estimation of microsporidia prevalence among Iranian children with cancer, the current study aimed at evaluating the rate of intestinal microsporidia in children undergoing chemotherapy.

Cystic echinococcosis (CE) represents an increasing public health concern in many parts of the world, including the Middle East. The present study is the first systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the seroprevalence rate and population genetic structure of human CE in the eastern Mediterranean region. To estimate the population genetic structure, Echinococcus sequences of the cytochrome oxidase subunit 1 (cox1) gene isolated from countries from this geographical area were retrieved from the GenBank database.

This study aimed to evaluate Cryptosporidium infection in children with cancer undergoing chemotherapy. A case-control study was conducted in 132 children with cancer undergoing chemotherapy and 132 non-cancer controls.

Methods: All published articles up to December 2015, including descriptive and cross-sectional studies related to the prevalence and genotyping of Microsporidia infection in Iran, was considered in this systematic review. The meta-analysis was done using the random-effects model and Stats Direct statistical software.
Cryptosporidiosis caused by Cryptosporidium spp. is an important parasitic disease that can be life-threatening for children and immunocompromised patients. This systematic review and meta-analysis was designed to determine the prevalence rate of Cryptosporidium infection and related risk factors among the Iranian general population.
