Article Synopsis
- - This study analyzed work-related burn injuries at a burn center in northern Iran from 2011 to 2020, finding that out of 9,220 cases, 429 (4.65%) were work-related, predominantly affecting males with a significant incidence in the summer months.
- - The most common cause of these burns was fire and flames (62.0%), with the upper limb being the most frequently injured area, and the average length of hospital stay for burn patients was about 10 days.
- - The research highlights the urgent need for educational and prevention programs targeting young male workers involved in high-risk activities, particularly in food preparation, welding, and electrical work, to reduce the incidence of such injuries.
