Background: Revision anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction has been documented to have inferior outcomes compared with primary ACL reconstruction. The reasons why remain unknown.
Purpose: To determine whether surgical factors performed at the time of revision ACL reconstruction can influence a patient's outcome at 6-year follow-up.
Objectives: Efficacy and safety of letermovir as prophylaxis for clinically significant cytomegalovirus infections (csCVMi) was evaluated in randomised controlled trials while most of the real-world studies are single-centre experiences.
Methods: We performed a retrospective, multi-centre case-control study at six German university hospitals to evaluate clinical experiences in patients receiving CMV prophylaxis with letermovir (n = 200) compared to controls without CMV prophylaxis (n = 200) during a 48-week follow-up period after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (aHCT).
Results: The incidence of csCMVi after aHCT was significantly reduced in the letermovir (34%, n = 68) compared to the control group (56%, n = 112; p < 0.
Leukemia relapse is a major cause of death after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT). We tested the potential of targeting T cell (Tc) immunoglobulin and mucin-containing molecule 3 (TIM-3) for improving graft-versus-leukemia (GVL) effects. We observed differential expression of TIM-3 ligands when hematopoietic stem cells overexpressed certain oncogenic-driver mutations.

Deciphering the mechanisms underpinning organotropism could provide novel preventive and therapeutic strategies for patients with cancer. Rogava and colleagues identified Pip4k2c as a driver of liver metastasis, acting by sensitizing cancer cells to insulin-dependent PI3K/AKT signaling, which could be reversed by dual pharmacologic inhibition of PI3K and SGLT2 or a ketogenic diet.

Hybrid density functional theory (DFT) remains intractable for large periodic systems due to the demanding computational cost of exact exchange. We apply the tensor hypercontraction (THC) (or interpolative separable density fitting) approximation to periodic hybrid DFT calculations with Gaussian-type orbitals using the Gaussian plane wave approach. This is done to lower the computational scaling with respect to the number of basis functions () and -points () at a fixed system size.

Few programs support oncology healthcare worker grief and renewal prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Design: This study used a quantitative exploratory descriptive approach using survey data.
Methods: A purposive convenience sample was recruited from the Emergency Nurses Association and the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists.
Background: Meniscal and chondral damage is common in the patient undergoing revision anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction.
Purpose: To determine if meniscal and/or articular cartilage pathology at the time of revision ACL surgery significantly influences a patient's outcome at 6-year follow-up.
Study Design: Cohort study; Level of evidence, 3.
With the aging population and increasing number of cancer survivors contributing to a projected provider shortage, one solution is the specialization of nurse practitioners and physician assistants (part of the advanced practice provider [APP] workforce) in oncology. However, a lack of preparation in caring for the patient with cancer has led to burnout and stress in these groups. The authors studied an APP fellowship program to describe resilience, stress, and compassion in a transition-to-practice program and explore the experience of intentional, facilitated conversations.

Purpose: Return-to-play safely focusing on care for professional athletes. Variability on when return-to-play is possible due to differences in dexterity requirements of player's position and upper extremity injuries. This study covers the importance of trust between players and healthcare providers in the incident of upper extremity injury and aspects of when return-to-play is favorable.

Within the Gaussian planewave (GPW) density fitting, our algorithm achieves a 1-2 orders of magnitude speedup compared to conventional GPW algorithms. Since our algorithm is well suited for simulations with large basis sets, we applied it to 12 hybrid density functionals with pseudopotentials and a large uncontracted basis set to assess their performance on band gaps of 25 simple solids near the basis set limit.

However, OOMP2 is known to suffer from divergent correlation energies in regimes of small orbital energy gaps. To address this issue, several approaches to amplitude regularization have been explored, with those featuring energy-gap-dependent regularizers appearing to be most transferable and physically justifiable.

Sample & Setting: 248 adults with gastrointestinal, neuroendocrine, or skin cancer receiving IV therapy from an academic cancer center.
Rethods & Variables: Participants were randomized to EO or control oil groups.
Background: Patients with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) revision report lower outcome scores on validated knee questionnaires postoperatively compared to cohorts with primary ACL reconstruction. In a previously active population, it is unclear if patient-reported outcomes (PROs) are associated with a return to activity (RTA) or vary by sports participation level (higher level vs. recreational athletes).

Herein, we investigate three physically justified forms of single-parameter, energy-gap dependent regularization which can yield high and transferable accuracy for a variety of noncovalent interactions (including S22, S66, and L7 test sets) and (mostly closed shell) transition metal thermochemistry. Regularization serves to damp overestimated pairwise additive contributions, renormalizing first-order amplitudes such that the effects of higher-order correlations are incorporated.

Electronic structure calculations reveal a barrierless reaction pathway involving 1,1-insertion of dicarbon into one of the silicon-hydrogen bonds followed by hydrogen migration to form the 3-sila-methylacetylene (HCCSiH) intermediate. The intermediate undergoes unimolecular decomposition through molecular hydrogen loss to ethynylsilylene (HCCSiH; C; XA').

A comprehensive library of exchange-correlation functionals, along with a suite of correlated many-body methods, continues to be a hallmark of the Q-Chem software. The many-body methods include novel variants of both coupled-cluster and configuration-interaction approaches along with methods based on the algebraic diagrammatic construction and variational reduced density-matrix methods.

Hypothesis: In the ACL revision setting, there would be no difference between autograft and allograft in rerupture rate and patient-reported outcomes (PROs) at 6-year follow-up.

For me, becoming a well-being clinician required a journey that does not end. I discovered four relationships to pay attention to as an oncology nurse, and each requires care. They are self, colleagues, community, and patients and families.

The inherent graft-versus-leukemia activity (GvL) may be optimized by donor lymphocyte infusions (DLI). Here we present our single-center experience of DLI use patterns and effectiveness, based on 342 consecutive adult patients receiving a first allo-HSCT for AML between 2009 and 2017.
